Thank you, Hillsdale for Wendy's night! you, Hillsdale for Wendy's night!<p>​Wendy's night on Wednesday, November 23 was a great success! Thank you to everyone who participated, to our school council for finding out about this fundraiser and to Alissa Shanahan for organizing the details. "Team work, works" and what a wonderful effect when this happens!</p><p>We haven't calculated how much we've made for our school, but regardless, it was such a fun night for all. </p>

Starts on December 1, 2016</strong></p><div>BRingo is a bingo game designed to help the food bank. Play bingo and win a prize! Bring THREE food items and you will get ONE bingo card. If ONE of your food items is FROM THE FOOD BANK’S MOST WANTED LIST (the list is on the back of this sheet) you will get TWO bingo cards.</div><div>The more food items you bring, the more bingo cards you will receive, and your chances of winning a prize will increase!</div><div>JUST A FEW REMINDERS: Please watch for the expiry date on your food bank items as they cannot use food items which have expired. If you are bringing small individual packages you will need SIX packages to earn ONE bingo card. (Seasoning and soup mixes etc.).</div><div>HOW IT WILL WORK! Starting on Thursday, December 1 students who bring in non-perishable food items will count their items and the number of bingo cards, they are to receive will be recorded by our Student Council. Every morning our Student Council will be waiting in front of the office to receive food donations.</div><div>Bingo Cards will be handed out on Monday, December 12. Students will use the same cards every day and can add to their chance to win by bringing in additional food bank items at any time.</div><div>The bingo numbers drawn each day will be posted on the board in front of the office, so late joiners can catch up and play along. Numbers will be called from Monday, December 12 through to Friday, December 23.</div><div>Prizes will be awards for and X, the outer square and a full card.</div><div>The game finishes on Friday, December 23, 2016.</div><div>Thank you everyone, let’s see if we can help the food bank and our neighbours.</div><div>As an added bonus everyone who brings food items will be able to choose a book from our previously used book box.</div><div>The Elmvale Food Bank’s MOST WANTED LIST: If ONE of your food items is on this list you will receive TWO Bingo Cards.</div><div>Please watch for the expiry date on your food bank items as they cannot use food items which have expired:</div><div><br></div><div>Chunky soups</div><div>Canned stews</div><div>Canned tuna</div><div>Canned salmon</div><div>Soda crackers, snack crackers</div><div>Baby formula</div><div>Baby food</div><div>Salt</div><div>Sugar</div><div>Flour</div><div>Pancake mix and syrup</div><div>Pasta, canned, dry and sauce</div><div>Jam</div><div>Cookies</div>

Inside Out Movie Night! Nov. 30th! Out Movie Night! Nov. 30th!<p>​Join us for a family evening to learn more about the "Joy in Resiliency." Hillsdale School Council's successful application of "Parent Reaching Out Grant" has enabled us to have a presentation to learn more about children's mental health and how to provide effective coping strategies. Children will be entertained by the movie, "Inside Out" in the gym, and parents will be guided by our guest speaker in the library.
